Privacy Policy

PropSight makes a sports prop research and analytics app. This policy explains what we collect, why, who it goes to, and how to get rid of it. It applies to the PropSight website at https://propsightapp.com, our mobile applications, and related services (together, the "Service").
The short version: we collect your email and name so you can have an account — that's essentially it. Your picks, results, and betting history stay on your phone and never reach us. We run no analytics, no ad trackers, and no advertising identifier. We never sell or share your personal information. You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app, at any time.
01What We Collect
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address — to create your account, sign you in, and send account emails you ask for.
- Name — to personalize your account. Optional; you can leave it blank or change it later.
- Password — stored only as a cryptographic hash. We cannot read it, and neither can our staff.
- Account identifier — a randomly generated ID that links your account to your data. It isn't derived from anything about you.
If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple decides what to tell us. That may be a private relay address (@privaterelay.appleid.com) rather than your real email, and your name only the first time you authorize.
When you contact support, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to put in your message.
That is the complete list. We don't ask for your date of birth, phone number, mailing address, government ID, or payment details.
02What Stays on Your Device
The following is stored in the app's storage on your phone. It is never uploaded to us, and we have no way to see it:
- Saved picks and the prop details captured when you saved them
- Your results, win/loss record, unit profit-and-loss, and closing-line-value history
- Subscription and free-trial status
- Notification preferences, filters, and onboarding progress
This data is kept separate per account on your device and is erased when you delete your account or uninstall the app.
03What We Don't Collect
- No location data. The app never asks for or receives your location.
- No contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or health data.
- No advertising identifier (IDFA), and no tracking. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not run the tracking permission prompt.
- No analytics or behavioral telemetry. There is no analytics SDK in the app, and this website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers.
- No third-party crash reporting. If you've opted in to sharing diagnostics with Apple at the iOS level, Apple may pass us crash reports. Those contain technical diagnostics — not your account details, and not your picks.
- No payment or card details. See section 6.
The one external request this website makes is to Google Fonts, to load the typeface. That request reveals your IP address to Google under Google's privacy policy; it sets no cookie and we receive nothing back from it.
04How We Use Information
We use your email, name, and account identifier only to:
- create and maintain your account, and keep you signed in
- send account emails you request — address confirmation and password resets
- respond when you contact support
- keep the Service secure, investigate abuse, and enforce our Terms
- meet legal obligations
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, cross-context behavioral advertising, or automated decision-making, and we don't send marketing email.
05When We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for advertising. We do not give it to data brokers. We disclose information in only these situations:
- Service providers. We use a small number of vendors to run the Service — to host our systems, operate account sign-in, and deliver account emails. They process data only on our written instructions, only to perform that function, and they're barred from using it for their own purposes.
- Apple. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple handles that authentication. If you buy a subscription, Apple processes the purchase.
- Sports data services. To show odds, lines, and statistics, the app requests data from sports data providers and public league APIs. These requests carry no personal information — only the market, player, or game being looked up. Those providers can't tell which PropSight user made a request, or that it came from an account at all. As with any internet request, the receiving service sees the originating IP address.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if we're legally required to, or where necessary to investigate fraud or protect someone's safety or rights.
- Business transfer. If PropSight is acquired or merges, account data may transfer as part of that transaction. We'll notify you before your information becomes subject to a different policy.
06Subscriptions & Payments
We never receive your payment details. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store using your Apple Account. Your card number, billing address, and payment history are handled entirely by Apple and are never transmitted to, seen by, or stored by us.
Your subscription and trial status is currently stored on your device only and isn't tied to your account on our servers.
Deleting your PropSight account does not cancel your subscription. Apple manages subscriptions, so cancel separately at Manage Subscriptions.
07Notifications
PropSight sends local notifications — reminders about games and picks you saved. Your device schedules and delivers them.
These are not push notifications. Nothing is sent from our servers, we don't collect a push token or device token, and nothing about your reminders leaves your phone.
iOS asks your permission the first time you turn on a reminder, not at launch. You can revoke it any time in the app or in iOS Settings.
08Security
- Sign-in sessions are held in the iOS Keychain, not general app storage.
- All network traffic uses HTTPS.
- Account records are protected by database rules that restrict every row to its signed-in owner. Signed-out access to account data is denied outright.
- Credentials for our data providers live on our servers and are never shipped inside the app.
No system is perfectly secure. We reduce the blast radius by collecting very little: we hold no payment data, no location history, and no behavioral profile.
09Data Retention
- Account information (email, name, identifier) — kept for as long as your account exists, and deleted immediately when you delete your account.
- Support correspondence — kept up to 24 months after your last message, then deleted.
- Residual copies in routine backups — purged on our standard backup cycle, within 30 days of deletion.
- Data on your device — kept until you delete your account or uninstall the app.
We don't keep personal information longer than we need it for the purposes in section 4, or longer than the law requires.
10Your Rights & Choices
Wherever you live, you can:
- Access the account information we hold — it's shown on your Account screen.
- Correct your name from the same screen.
- Delete your account and everything in it (section 11).
- Withdraw consent for notifications in iOS Settings.
- Opt out of account emails — note we can't disable security emails like password resets.
Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to data portability, to object to or restrict processing, or to appeal a decision we make. Contact us and we'll help. We won't discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.
To make a request, email support@propsightapp.com from the address on your account. We may need to verify your identity — usually by confirming control of that email — and we'll respond within 45 days, or tell you if we need longer. An authorized agent may make a request for you with written proof of authorization.
11Deleting Your Account
In the app: Account → Delete Account. This immediately and permanently:
- deletes your account and profile record from our database, and
- erases all PropSight data on your device — picks, results, closing-line-value history, subscription state, and notification preferences.
Deletion can't be undone and we can't restore a deleted account. Only you can delete your account, while signed in to it.
As noted in section 6, this does not cancel an App Store subscription — cancel that separately with Apple.
Signing out deletes nothing. Your on-device data stays put and is there when you sign back in.
12California Privacy Rights
This section is for California residents and covers the CCPA as amended by the CPRA.
What we collect, and why
In the last 12 months we've collected one category of personal information as the CCPA defines them: Identifiers — your name, email address, and unique account identifier. We collect it directly from you, for the purposes in section 4 (account creation, authentication, support, and security), and disclose it only to the service providers described in section 5.
We collect none of the other statutory categories: no commercial or purchase records, no internet or network activity, no geolocation, no biometric information, no audio or visual information, no employment or education records, no protected-classification characteristics, and we draw no inferences to build a profile about you.
Sensitive personal information
Your account login credentials are "sensitive personal information" under California law. We use them for exactly one thing: authenticating you. We never use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you, so the right to limit its use does not apply. We collect no other sensitive category — no government ID, no financial account details, no precise geolocation, no racial or ethnic origin, no religious beliefs, no union membership, no genetic or biometric data, no health information, no sex life or sexual orientation data, and no neural data.
We do not sell or share your information
We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding 12 months, and we do not do so today. "Share" here has its CCPA meaning — disclosure for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because we do neither, we have no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as a matter of course, though we have no sale or sharing for them to opt out of. We do not sell or share the personal information of minors under 16; PropSight isn't intended for anyone under 18.
Your California rights

Shine the Light. California Civil Code § 1798.83 lets residents request details about personal information disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing. We disclose none, but you're welcome to ask.
13Children's Privacy
PropSight covers sports betting analysis and is not intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a minor has made an account, email us and we'll delete it.
14International Users
We operate from the United States and process data there. If you use PropSight from elsewhere, you're sending your information to the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your own country.
15Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top and post the new version here. For material changes we'll give you notice in the app before they take effect.

PropSight is a research and analytics tool — not a sportsbook. We never collect wagering account details or gambling payment information, because no gambling happens through PropSight.
